Others have tried to imitate it, but always come back to the original! -- posted by mscook2218http://www.recipezaar.com/313213 Low Calorie Alfredo Sauce- July 10, 2008 just a remake of one that is already on here... Excellent restaruant qulity recipe, just a little less calories and fat. Seems like alot of calories and fat, but it is a quarter of both the original and tastes the same. Enjoy! PS I like to add cajan seasoning to make it spicy! -- posted by DidIDoThathttp://www.recipezaar.com/313212 Lightly Puffed Pan-Fried Hake or Scrod- July 10, 2008 I call this fish lightly puffed because of the way I make the egg batter. First, I beat the egg whites until they are very foamy, and then I gently whisk the egg yolks into the whites before dipping the floured fish into the egg. This results in a light, puffed coating on the cooked fish. Throughout the Basque Country, you will find all types of filleted fish pan-fried this way. The fish is great with a green salad and Basque Fries. -- posted by Ceeziehttp://www.recipezaar.com/313211 Leek and Potato Soup- July 10, 2008 This is soup typical of the Basque Country, since both leeks and carrots are common vegetables and codfish is the fish of choice for so many meals. When pumpkin is not in season, double the quantity of carrots. The dish traditionally contains salt cod, but it can be omitted. When I know I will be very busy, I double the quantities, and the next day I puree the leftover soup in a blender for another meal. -- posted by Ceeziehttp://www.recipezaar.com/313210 Laura's Quick Slow Cooker Turkey Chili- July 10, 2008 This is an easy, healthy chili recipe that you can throw in the slow cooker and forget about all day. Great topped with low-fat Cheddar cheese, crushed corn chips, and a dollop of fat-free sour cream. I cut back some on the spice to suit my own taste, but you can add more chili powder, or use chopped tomatoes with chili. -- posted by Randy Goldberghttp://www.recipezaar.com/313208 Slow Cooker Pizza- July 10, 2008 Rigatoni, pizza sauce, ground beef, mozzarella... and add any pizza-style toppings you like! -- posted by Randy Goldberghttp://www.recipezaar.com/313209 Zucchini, Black Bean, and Corn Enchiladas- July 10, 2008 You can add some grilled chicken as well for some extra protein. -- posted by Absarunninhttp://www.recipezaar.com/313206 Marinated Fresh Anchovies- July 10, 2008 I love anchovies and I found a Mexican grocery store that carries fresh ones and thought I would try this. Sounds a bit like Ceviche to me without all the other stuff.
