Recipezaar: Pies recipesThe newest Recipezaar recipesin:PiesBerry-Pie- May 28, 2008 This is such a great summer pie, which can be eaten either hot or cold. It's quite easy to make and really looks incredible. Goes great with whipped (vanilla-flavoured) cream. Mind: Dough needs one hour chilling time. -- posted by Lalaloulahttp://www.recipezaar.com/305126 Pillsbury Perfect Apple Pie- May 27, 2008 This is directly off the side of the box of the Pillsbury refrigerated pie crusts. Very much like Bayhill's Chocolate Pecan Pie...yummy! This recipe comes from the Nestle Best-Loved Recipe book, and is also very similar to a dessert served in one of my favorite tea rooms in Bksf, Ca. -- posted by Noni Suzannehttp://www.recipezaar.com/304516 Tarte Au Flan- May 20, 2008 Very common pie in Belgium. -- posted by Maïté G.http://www.recipezaar.com/304379 Strawberry-Meringue Pie- May 20, 2008 "One slice of this gorgeous strawberry pie from chef Barb Peters of The Heartland Spa in Gilman, Illinois, delivers nearly three fourths of your daily dose of vitamin C. Prep time does not include the 3 hours needed for cooling in the fridge. -- posted by dojemihttp://www.recipezaar.com/304347 Tarte Au Sucre Brun- May 20, 2008 Brown sugar pie. A classic in the Walloon region in Belgium. Delicious, but very sweet. -- posted by Maïté G.http://www.recipezaar.com/304335 Light Lemon Pie- May 19, 2008 DH loves lemon icebox pie and being a diabetic enjoying that pie can be a challenge. This is an adaption of a Taste of Home recipe that I found. This is like having lemon mousse in a crust. Please note that the cooking time is the time need to chill the pie before serving. -- posted by PaulaGhttp://www.recipezaar.com/304217 Best of Best Apple Pie- May 18, 2008 I have been making this pie, by request from my friend Connie, for Thanksgiving the last 20 years or so. I clipped it from a magazine (I think Better Homes and Gardens) wore the clipping out and had to scan it to keep a copy. You would think after 20 years I could do it in my sleep, but . . . Anyway, after 20 some years I have only tweeked it a little - that is how good the original is. The only change I have made is to double everything from brown sugar through salt to the asked for amount.http://www.recipezaar.com/304167 |
