It's a perfect blend of not too tart, not too sweet. And to top it off, it's a cinch to make. I was a little leery of using raw egg yolks without cooking the pie, but a RecipeZaar Groupie assured me that it's safe. -- posted by Janny7http://www.recipezaar.com/306070 Banana Cream Pie- May 29, 2008 This banana cream pie is a recipe of my Grandma's. This from scratch recipe is delicious and one that is not for those counting calories!!! Even though this recipe is best when prepared from scratch, if you do not have time it can easily be prepared with a premade pie crust, banana pudding mix and Cool Whip -- posted by The College Cookhttp://www.recipezaar.com/305736 Not so Rich Peanut Butter Pie- May 28, 2008 This smooth, custardy peanut pie isn't like your traditional rich and sickening sweet peanut butter pie but is still oh so delicious! And if you haven't mastered rolling out a pie crust, this is the crust for you. You just pat it in! -- posted by Crazycook in PAhttp://www.recipezaar.com/305400 Rhubarb Cream Pie- May 28, 2008 This recipe was shared with me by my good friend, Chris. It is a great way to use your rhubarb. You can use 12 tsp of almond extract and 12 tsp of vanilla if you prefer which is what the original recipe called for. We just prefer the vanilla taste over the almond so we changed it to 1 tsp of vanilla extract -- posted by Hoosier Grandma(Chef 846311)http://www.recipezaar.com/305294 Dutch Apple Pie- May 28, 2008 A friend made this for us after I had my baby girl. I'm not much of a pie person, but this was great! I think it is the topping that makes it special. Enjoy! -- posted by Finny's Momhttp://www.recipezaar.com/305265 Lemon Chiffon Pie, Diabetic- May 28, 2008 A great summer dessert that will save on fat, sugar and guilt! I prefer to make the filling alone and have it as a light chiffon pudding in small glasses. -- posted by Annaciahttp://www.recipezaar.com/305196 Weight Watchers Strawberry Pie- May 28, 2008 From a co-worker. 6 points per serving. -- posted by Chicken Fingerhttp://www.recipezaar.com/305194 |
