Fresh Tomato Pie - July 9, 2008

A simple, but decadent, idea for what to do with all those tomatoes from the garden. This is a great one for personalization - change up the cheeses and the herbs to make it Mexican, Greek, Italian - you get the idea! It's even better the second day (reheat in the oven 15 min). -- posted by Grubbyknees

Apricot Kuchen - July 9, 2008

I have no idea how old this recipe is, but the measurement "12 eggshell" makes me think it had been around for a while before my mom found it. Anyone with an apricot tree must have this recipe! :-) Note: it freezes well, and it's heavenly served warm with vanilla ice cream. Number of servings is hard to say; I could eat one by myself, no problem. -- posted by bacongirl

Kittencal's Dill Baby Potatoes - July 8, 2008

This is a simple recipe but big on flavor, you may adjust all seasoning to taste, if your new baby potatoes are very small then adding a few more won't hurt. -- posted by KITTENCAL

Aunt Fredas Whole Wheat Zucchini Honey Bread - July 8, 2008

My great aunt's recipe from the depression-era, before they migrated from Nebraska to California. I use half white whole wheat flour and half regular whole wheat flour. It would also be good with whole wheat pastry flour. I love it because it's healthy, yet a nice treat! -- posted by cowgirl_cook
