Gonzalez, 94, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2008, in Albuquerque, N.M. She was born Nov. 29, 1913, in San Antonito, N.M., to Juan C. and Anna (Miera) Gonzalez. She grew up on the Gonzalez family ranch and worked hard doing all the chores that were needed to keep the household going. Never marrying, Placida became the primary caregiver for her parents.
