Two losses to Detroit (1 near shutout, and 1 total shutout) hurt a lot. We're getting the scoring chances, but not connecting at all. Even though the game ended in a tie, 5 - 5, it was very entertaining, and good, old hockey fun. Joe Sakic had three goals and an assist for the Avalanche, and Alex Tanguay had two goals and three assists.
