Significant Change to Real ID Act - December 20, 2005

December 20, 2005 A small but significant change was made to the Real ID Act, when Congress modified certain requirements for victims of domestic violence. Specifically, language inserted in another law will allow victims of domestic violence to use a PO Box instead of a physical address when obtaining a drivers license.

December 15, 2005 Yesterday the House of Representatives voted to renew certain provisions of the Patriot Act that are set to expire at the end of this month. The bill now moves to the Senate, where debate is scheduled to begin on Thursday.
