Whole Grain Waffles - June 30, 2008

This recipe is from AllRecipes.com. This is a very light and fluffy whole grain waffle recipe. These freeze great, just wrap between wax paper. When ready to heat cook in toaster oven at 350 degrees for 3-5 minutes until brown. -- posted by ksgillmore

Oatmeal Pancakes - June 11, 2008

These are not your regular, fall apart, mushy pancakes. They are very hearty and stand up to peanut butter and syrup, which is how we like ours. We usually triple the batch and have it for two breakfasts a week. There are six children in my family, so it makes alot and fills everybody up. -- posted by xperimentalchef

Bestemor's Norwegian Waffles - June 5, 2008

This recipe is not for the calorie conscience people. My Bestemor used to make these in a waffle maker that she would open with a pickle fork. We wouldn't DARE eat them with syrup (as they're sweet enough) however, we would eat them with home made strawberry jam. The aroma of cardamom is amazing. If I want to get my children out of bed - I simply make a batch of Bestemor's waffles. -- posted by The Kissing Cook

Buttermilk Flapjacks - June 3, 2008

This recipe was posted in Saveur magazine. It is the recipe used at Robie's Country Store & Deli in Hooksett, NH. They are very large, and cooked one at a time in a hot buttered nonstick skillet until crisp around the edges. After reviewing the other recipes posted here, the ingredients difference appears to be the proportion of baking powder to the rest of the ingredients. This is a delicious recipe, with lots of butter. Not recommended for a low fat diet. -- posted by PanNan
