Is Assemblyman Van Tran feeling guilty about his attacks on immigrants - June 23, 2008

Is OC GOP State Assemblyman Van Tran feeling guilty about his many attacks on Mexican immigrants You may recall that a few months ago Tran and a planeload of his Trannies, as well as O.C. Register suck-up reporter Frank MIckadeit, flew to San Diego to look at our border and to rip immigrants. See the picture above of Tran at the border - which is still on Tran's legislative website. But, according to Miniondas Newspaper, a free Santa Ana based Spanish language newsweekly, Tran is going to be...

Long Pham: a modern-day Mr. Smith - June 17, 2008

The final results for the June 3rd Primary have finally been posted. Long Pham, candidate for the Orange County Board of Education District 1 was elected to replace 4 term incumbent Felix Rocha Jr. Pham beat him by less than 900 votes, 19,936 to 19,057. Both Pham and Rocha are Republicans. The Democrats did not run a candidate in this race, for whatever reason. What is truly amazing about this win is that Long Pham has been a candidate for some sort of office for the last 14 years. Long Pham...

Supervisor Janet Nguyen explains why she chose Sandra Hutchens to be the new Sheriff - June 12, 2008

I just received an email from Supervisor Janet Nguyen explaining why she chose Sandra Hutchens to replace disgraced former Sheriff Mike Carona. This has been a topic of much speculation. I hope this information clears up the misunderstandings that Supervisor Nguyen's detractors have been broadcasting throughout the blogosphere. Here are Supervisor Nguyen's thoughts: This was one of the most difficult decisions that I&146;'ve made since being in office. Both Chief Paul Walters and Chief...

OC GOP machine gets punked as Sandra Hutchens becomes the new Sheriff - June 11, 2008

I have never been so happy to be wrong in my life! I thought the OC GOP machine had victory in the bag and that their boy Paul Walters would succeed Mike Carona. But Supervisors John Moorlach, Pat Bates and Janet Nguyen decided to go with Sandra Hutchens as our new Orange County Sheriff. What happened I think that Moorlach in particular did not want to look stupid again. He previously supported our disgraced former Sheriff, Mike Carona, and our lame O.C. Treasurer Chriss Street. This time...

Supervisor Janet Nguyen celebrates victory amongst friends - June 4, 2008

Supervisor Janet Nguyen celebrated her victory tonight at the Azteca Restaurant in downtown Garden Grove. When I arrived at the party, at about 9:30 p.m., she was outside, speaking in Vietnamese on her cell phone, as about seven photographers took her picture. The victory party was attended by a huge throng of backers and well-wishers. As I spoke to my fellow blogger Larry Gilbert outside, Todd Spitzer was leaving, with his entourage in tow. So was acting Sheriff Jack Anderson. I wished him...

Do Phu strikes back at former Hoa Van Tran staffers - June 3, 2008

The race for the First Supervisorial District has become a complete nightmare for the Democratic Party of Orange County. They endorsed the sole Democrat in the race, Hoa Van Tran, only to blanch when his campaign manager, Edgardo Reynoso, brought in a bunch of cholos to work for the campaign. Two of those cholos then were arrested for attempted murder. And then things got worse. Two of Van Tran's staffers quit the campaign. They both alleged harassment and one even got a temporary restraining...
