This society provides various spiritual, social, and organizational benefits to the Parishs women. Woman have had a voice and vote in the PNCC long before womans suffrage occurred in the United States. Women stood shoulder to shoulder with the men of the PNCC in decrying the abuses that led to the founding of the PNCC. Three women, Anna Silakowska, Jzefa Chojnowska and Walentyna Wendland were among the lay leaders of the PNCC and were arrested.http://www.bvmc.org |
