Harvey fifth in Spain before championship showdown - July 14, 2008

Lincolnshire-based kart champion Jack Harvey took a hard-earned fifth overall in the qualifying event for the European Championship in Alcaniz in Spain over the weekend. The result marks the 15 year-old out as one of the favourites to repeat his 2007 success of becoming European Champion.

Alcaniz Qualifier Update (with photos) - Harvey on top in KF2 - July 13, 2008

Jack Harvey (GB, BirelParilla) has taken as unexpected pole position in Spain with some solid heat results, while Loic Reguillon (FR, SodiParilla) was outright fastest all day but got two penalties for too-fast starts so will start seventh. Jose Cautela (PT, CRGMaxter) was also one to watch with two wins but a seize in the first heat puts him starting 10th.

Chamberlain gets BMW chance - July 8, 2008

Ambitious kart racer Jordan Chamberlain has been awarded the opportunity to qualify to race in the Formula BMW Europe series by Vroom magazine and BMW Motorsport. To race in single-seater cars, drivers need a license upgrade and BMW arrange two-day courses at Valencia in Spain to get young kart drivers up to speed. For the past three years two of the most impressive 15 to 18-year-old racers have been given free places by the international karting magazine.
