I think this is where you have to be careful. My personal "policy" is unless I have at least 3 use cases, I shouldn't be trying to write a framework. I just had to deal with a new issue on my ever-smooth Vista system. (google it! try and make sense of the problem) Windows could not connect to the System Event Notification service.
