Bank e-mails were scams, official says - July 10, 2008

Published July 10, 2008 12:15 am SUNBURY Those e-mail scammers are getting pre-tty tricky. Turns out two press releases sent out Tuesday warning bank customers of fraudulent e-mails were fraudulent themselves. The Daily Item published a report in Wednesday's paper that cited press releases from Susquehanna Bancshares Inc. and Mifflinburg Bank & Trust Co. that warned customers of those banks to ignore fraudulent e-mails seeking financial information such as credit card or debit card account.
