The reactions from most of the gifts I gave were pretty good, as well. The "I Can't Believe She Pulled That Off" award goes to my SiL. I told her three days before Christmas that I was giving Mother a down comforter. SiL sews a lot, and I figured she could give Mom an IOU for a duvet cover.
