Warrant issued for robbery suspect- (Found July 15, 2008 ) <br ><br > Waterloo Regional police detectives have issued a warrant for a suspect in connection with a Scotiabank robbery in Kitchener. Last Wednesday the bank on Highland Road west was robbed by a man. The suspect handed the teller a note but no weapon was seen. Police have identified the suspect as 26 year old Eugene Ivan Lacosta. Cattle farmers get provincial help- (Found July 15, 2008 ) The Ontario government say it's going to help the cattle industry recovery from the mad cow crisis. Premier Dalton McGuinty has announced up to 30 million dollars will be invested in a national strategy that will help the beef industry. More signatures needed to boost whoopee record- (Found July 15, 2008 ) Fans attending Laurier's home-coming football game on Saturday set an unofficial world record for sitting on whoopee cushions. But the official total right now only stands at just over 28-hundred. Over 54-hundred cushions were handed out, but not everyone signed the official registry. Without the signatures the new record will only reflect the lower number. Cops take out souped up cars- (Found July 15, 2008 ) Waterloo Regional police eliminated a few unsafe vehicles from the roads as part of their Project Erase program. In a joint project with area police agencies 194 charges were laid. Regional police say many of the vehicles were modified illegally, which made the vehicle unsafe. The car junkies retro-fitted the lighting on their car, worked on suspension and cut the brake lines to the drive wheels so it was easier to spin their car.
