Trust welcomes two new Consultants to AandE - (Found July 15, 2008 )

Two additional consultants have been appointed to work in the two Aandamp;E departments within Southport andamp; Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust. They will divide their time between the childrenandrsquo;s Aandamp;E at Ormskirk and the adult Aandamp;E at Southport. Both Dr Alan Owens and Dr Michael Aisbitt have spent all their careers in the Merseyside region.

After 25 years as Chairman of the League of Hospital Friends, Ormskirk Hospital, May Oxford MBE has decided it is finally time to retire. She will continue to be a member of the League of Friends. Family, friends, fellow members of the League, and staff from the hospital recently gathered to honour her outstanding achievements and wish her well after.

Trust achieves highest possible accolade for safety - (Found July 15, 2008 )

Patients choosing Southport andamp; Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust will be choosing one of the safest Trusts in the country, an independent health watchdog has confirmed. We have been awarded the highest level under the Clinical Negligence Scheme for Trusts (CNST) for both general medical and surgical services and for the separate category of maternity services and are now one of only three Hospitals in England to have achieved this.

Opening times change at Minor Injuries Unit - (Found July 15, 2008 )

From Monday 2nd June the weekday opening times at the Minor Injuries Unit at Ormskirk andamp; District General Hospital will be changing to 8am to 8pm. Weekend and Bank holiday times will remain 9am to 5pm.
