BLT Salad With Creamy Basil Dressing - April 30, 2008

From Canadian Living magazine. All the flavours of a favourite sandwich tossed together on a plate makes this just as popular when it's a salad. -- posted by Boomette

Thyme for Trout - April 29, 2008

A simple but flavorful preparation for trout. I am currently in love with thyme and have been putting a concerted effort into adding more fish to our diet. This recipe was a big winner with the whole family. Trout is a nice fish since it doesn't have an overwhelming flavor on it's own. Prep time includes time for marination. -- posted by Cookworm

Scallops-Harborside Style - April 25, 2008

This is a very basic recipe for broiled scallops that came from "Jimmy's Harborside Restaurant" in Boston years ago. Quick and easy to prepare. Serve with rice pilaf or couscous and spinach or "something green." Makes a pretty plate and is delicious. You could substitute shrimp for the scallops. -- posted by Alan in SW Florida

Kittencal's Jalapeno-Cream Cheese Stuffed Hamburgers - April 21, 2008

You may omit the jalapeno if desired and you may use whatever else you want to flavor your burgers with just do NOT omit the cream cheese in the middle and add in the onion soup mix and garlic to the hambuger mixture --when I make these I use 2 scant tablespoons of cream cheese for each burger, you may want to reduce to 1 tablespoon if desired --- these may be fully prepared covered with plastic wrap and refrigerated until ready to grill --- these burgers are very good! -- posted by KITTENCAL

Tibetan Roasted Eggplant Soup (Duluma Jen) - April 14, 2008

Eggplant does not grow in Tibet; however, this recipe is from the Tibetan settlement at Bylakuppe in southern India. It show how traditional cooking methods have been adapted to the unfamiliar produce found by the Tibetans in exile there. Soup is commonly eaten for breakfast by Tibetans, as well as at other meals. I do like this soup, but I have to cut way back on the chiles. Emma , not in computer, is Sichuan pepper. This recipe is from the Lhasa Moon Tibetan Cookbook.by Tsering...
