Matthew You will want to look at Audacity and Beast, as another poster wrote. You may want to post a similar message at linuxaudio.tribe.net too. Personally, I am an Arour user, which is more geared toward multi-track recording. I don't do a whole lot of sound editing andor looping and have found that Audacity hadles most everything I need in that area. I don't think it has all the bells and whistles that...

ReK2... Rosegarden for secuencer or MUSE. I moved to Gentoo from Debian 2 years a go so dont know if they have .deb packages. with gentoo I just emerge and it compiles.

Jolayne ...and i am already missing the sound editing apps i was using in windows, specifically sound forge and sony acid pro. can anyone recommend some good replacement programs for linux
