Bath hopes new fire truck will improve coverage - December 19, 2007

BATH-On Dec. 10, the Bath Fire Department took delivery of a 1979 Ford F700 pumper fire truck, rounding off their assemblage of one engine and two tankers. They paid just $2,500 for the vehicle which has a mere 5,000 miles on it.It all began when friends Dennis MacKay, Bath's Fire Chief, and Peter Gemelli, retired Fire Chief from Wayland, MA, who was visiting at the time, were chatting and Mackay said he was looking for a pumper.
