Match poised despite secret lemonade drinker fizz - June 30, 2008

Loverboy describes a fascinating day at Uxbridge. While Middlesex looked like hitting the pits at tea (sack the entire committee!!) the evening session showed an amazing revival of fortunes (reinstate the entire committee!!!). Quarters Here We Are!! Middx v Kent at Uxbridge - June 24, 2008

Daria's debut article and what an auspicious start she makes - relating the tale of Middlesex overcoming Kent in the final over of this Twenty20 match, thus confirming a Quarter-final place. Daria uses similies and rarified asides like John Arlott on speed. Joking apart, it's a corker of a debut piece and many thanks to Daria for this report - I hope the first of many.

However, despite a specific instruction from the editor, we do not learn the colour of Hants captain Nic Pothas' underpants. Many thanks to Lizzie nonetheless for this excellent report.

Middlesex Enjoy Bloomsday, Surrey Groundhog Day - June 17, 2008

Southgate Emerald reports on another satisfying win for Middlesex - this time against the old enemy Surrey. 16th of June is Bloomsday, a celebration of that great Joyce character Leopold Bloom. So it is unsurprising that the Irish Middlesex contingent turned it on, with major contributions from Joyce and Morgan in the match. And now, having imbibed sufficiently and recovered, SE contributes.
