I have blogged this story in the past. On April 29 the Supreme Court of Missouri handed down a Writ of Habeas Corpus in the case of Joseph Amrine. The net result is that he is a free man. The state has the option of putting him back on trial, but with no evidence, it would be tough to find a jury to convict him again. This is a fantastic case of justice being served.
