Changing Planet - June 30, 2008

Wtf.  This year is the year for weird physical shit.  I think I'm allergic to grass now  Rolled around at a park on Sunday and was itching horribly for hours, even after soaping up after I got home.  Maybe it was just something they sprayed  Hopefully.  Being allergic to nature is kind of retarded. :pWall-E was cute, and I found the message about the dangers of over-consumption fairly timely, but being a Disney movie, it will probably generate tons of useless crap,.

El Orfanato - June 29, 2008

El Orfanato (The Orphanage) was a damn fine movie.  Dark, and a little sad, but good.  The kind of movie that stays with you for a while afterwards.---Mmm... Diablo 3.  Just might get me off of Oblivion for a while... :p

Stuff - June 27, 2008

Seattle folks: does anyone need kitchen stuff  I have two bags of those semi-disposable Glad & Ziplock bowl container things, along with assorted microwave stuff (vegetablefish steamer, omelet maker, poached egg maker - some never used) with instructions, and a few other random odd and ends (including a box of orange chocolate Coromega Omega-3) that need a new home.  I'd rather give them to someone I know who could use them instead of just dropping them off at Goodwill.  Capitol..

Late Spring Cleaning - June 25, 2008

This class is going to drive me insane, I can already tell.I'm feeling an intense impetus to purge personal belongings on a scale that would make people think I was getting ready to commit suicide if they didn't really know me.Thinking about it though, I really do get the most pleasure from just two things in life:Experience.  Spending time with my lovely man and our monsters babies.  Traveling, seeing, doing, learning, exercising.  Living.Data.  ConsolePC games, e-books,...

Time To Penis - June 23, 2008

Thanks to Spore and the women_dev mailing list, I now have new industry-related jargon: TTP."In MMOGs there's a technical term for this sort of thing: Time To Penis (TTP).  With Spore, from the very first demos the TTP has been measured in milliseconds."HAHAHAHA!!It's so true.Speaking of user created content though, I may be tempted to get a PS3 when Little Big Planet comes out.  We'll see.Summer quarter started today, and I can already tell I am going to love my classes - Humanities..

Tired - June 23, 2008

Today's shoot went well.  Definitely not the most flattering outfit I've worn recently, but Dawn totally rocked my makeup and the concept was super fun.  I had a fantastic time.  Ric said he'd have some photos ready soon.Went out to dinner afterwards, still in full makeup, and ran into a bunch of PopCap execs.  That was amusing.  There was a marketingart contractor at the airfield, so I knew I wasn't going to be able to fly under the radar anyway. :p  (Get it .

Weekend - June 22, 2008

Friday's bone scan showed something bad in the vicinity of, well, where I feel badness.  Not sure what that means for diagnosis, exactly, but after experiencing even worse pain earlier in the week, and running on the assumption that it will be a stress fracture(s), I got tired of waiting (it will be something like Tuesday before I get a call back about my scans) and ordered a walking boot online.  It came on Thursday and I've been wearing it since.  OMG.  Even just in these..
