AT&T insisted that it was a bad modem (I didn't believe that it was) and wouldn't even entertain other possibilities so long as I had the older modem. They insisted that the only possible solution was to send out a technician to the site to troubleshoot at a fee of $99. Like I can afford that. So I went out and got a new DSL modem, plugged it in, and... look. What a shock. STILL BORKED.
