Rock of Ages' losses slow down - May 1, 2008

brFree Press Staff Report BARRE -- Rock of Ages Corp. continues to lose money, but less this quarter than the same period last year. For the first quarter of the year, the Graniteville-based company's loss decreased to $3.3 million, or 45 cents per share, down from $6.6 million or 89 cents per share, for the same period last year. Revenue from quarrying and manufacturing operations for the first quarter of the year, however, increased 6 percent to $8.39 million from $7.94 million for the first.
