Greene County agrees to pay $65,000 to settle suit over inmate's death - December 21, 2007

"Thereafter, according to the state Commission of Corrections report, Gary Wilgus used inmate-issued pants, twisted them in a knot and tied them to the front cell bars and made a comment that he was going to 'hang up,'" A lawsuit brought by the mother of an 18-year-old male who committed suicide in the Greene County Jail has been settled, though the county has admitted no liability in the death. via Midhudsoncentral.com
