Stolen truck found - February 17, 2008

Early this evening one of Sue and George Gilbert's sons found their stolen truck. It was parked behind Hometown pharmacy beside of the dentist office basically unharmed. The truck has been taken until detectives can finger print the inside and gather other information from it. Sources say that the truck had been parked there for 3 to 4 day, maybe even longer. If anyone has any information about who parked the truck there or if anyone seen anyone around it please contact the Sherrif's office...

Home set on fire after burglary - February 15, 2008

On Monday February 11, 2007 the home of George and Sue Gilbert was robbed and then set on fire. This family has lost a great deal to this tragedy including a newer model Chevrolet truck maroon in color which was also stollen. Stinnett Fire Departement which the home owner's were members of done a great job responding to this 911 call. They done everything that they could to let the family salvage what little they could. Leslie County man charged in Saturday shooting - February 6, 2008

Kentucky State Police have arrested a Leslie County man who is suspected of shooting a man in the arm Saturday.Wayne Nantz of Leslie County ran into Asher's Mini-Mart on Middle Fork Road in the War Branch community of Leslie County just after 6 p.m. Saturday. Nantz had a gunshot wound to his upper left arm and asked the store clerk to call police.Nantz was transported to Mary Breckenridge Hospital in Hyden and later moved to Appalachian Regional Hospital in Hazard for treatment.Kentucky State..
