(Thank god no ASP =) What would be the best way to connect to SQL Server from my iBook I don't want to use Virtual PC, too slow. Anyhow I ended up grabbing a trial of SQLGrinder. It's not exactly what I want, but it's close enough. Microsoft has a JDBC driver for SQL Server 2000, but not for 7. A google search turned up jTDS.
