Post-Thanksgiving Recap - November 25, 2007

Woo for Thanksgiving! One of my favorite things about being home in Chicago is just sitting back . . . and relaxing. It's so easy to get caught up in the whole 'need to catch up on robbins pathology readings' and whatnot, so I guess it was refreshing to be at home with no med school textbooks (guessing the hyperventilation will catch up on Monday -- final exams in two weeks $%!) Anyway, had a lovely time a few sci-fi fantasy paperbacks and finally finishing up "Prince of Persia: Sands of Time".

Booking - November 20, 2007

Just finished a major pharmacology test today and getting ready to head to Chicago to celebrate Thanksgiving with family (woo!). This semester has been going quite well, mostly because I like the material a lot, but geez, it's disconcerting to consistently spend so much time just hitting the books (Microsoft Outlook schedule above, study time = purple or red). Can't touch me - November 11, 2007

No real update for this week -- school is nixing lots of free time, but it's actually really interesting. M2 med students will be formally let loose in the hospital in a few weeks, so in preparation for that, we're learning how to do a comprehensive physical exam of the heart, lungs, etc. It's pretty cool to dust off my hand-me-down stethoscope & blood pressure cuff (thanks J. ) and finally start using them, but it's rather awkward to do a physical exam on classmates, especially friends in the.
