Yikes. Whatever happened to the day when blogging was easy No root to update, no tool folder to refresh, no application to restart... It's now easier for me to use jEdit with the FTP plugin. Changes files right on the server.

Deep Links, Past United States Presidents, and the New World Times - (Found June 18, 2008 )

Great little piece by Dave Winer today entitled "Quoting dead presidents" about the newspapers being haughty and the amateurs being amateurs. And it would look like the jury is still out on who will rule the news landscape in the Age of Information. But a little further down, on the same page, he mentions deep linking, and how online "professional" newspapers (news PAPER, get it) are planning to increase their ban on deep-linking (whether via technology or lawsuits matters...
