Some of us have even experienced them. But August in Paris Savvy travelers know that in Paris in August everything closes down. The French and especially Parisians, it seems, vacation during the month of August. The city is taken over by tourists unhappy to find shops shuttered and services at a standstill. The responding officer later determined that the noise, a malfunctioning deer repellent system, originated from a home on Old Post Road South. 6:40 PM: There was a report of a disoriented man who was trespassing at a residence on Nordica Drive. Patrol responded to the scene and charged a 60-year-old male resident of Croton with trespass.
