Recipezaar: Casseroles recipesThe newest Recipezaar recipesin:CasserolesUkrainian Noodle and Spinach Casserole- June 5, 2008 Lokshyna, zapechena z shpynatin (in Ukranian) comes from Bake Until Bubbly by Clifford Wright. No, I do not speak Ukrainian but I thought I could copy it out of his book and pretend for 10 seconds. Don't I wish! You can prepare the casserole ahead of time, with everything in place except the hard-boiled egg garnish, and store in the refrigerator until needed. When baking it after it has been refrigerated, remember to keep it in the oven a little longer than called for in the recipe...http://www.recipezaar.com/307489 Baked Broccoli Frittata- June 5, 2008 This was my introduction to the concept of the frittata, from a Light Cuisine cookbook of my mother's. I have used every combination from the 6 eggs and 2 egg whites, to 4 eggs and a cup of egg substitute, to 2 cups of egg substitute, all with success (though it's a bit tastier with a real egg or two included). -- posted by OneEyehttp://www.recipezaar.com/307344 Tortilla Pie- June 4, 2008 An easy and delicious version of the classic "Mexican lasagna." For an extra flourish, alternate spinach tortillas with plain flour or multigrain ones. If you don't like spicy hot food, substitute a can of chopped green chilis for the sliced jalapeños. I like to use a hot chipotle salsa, but a mild one is fine. For a lighter version, use lowfat cheeses. -- posted by Jim C.http://www.recipezaar.com/307117 Stingray Casserole- June 3, 2008 Just saw that stingray is on sale at my local hypermarket, so came here to look up some recipes and found only one! So decided to add more. Found this one at http:fooddownunder.com. -- posted by Hani Selamathttp://www.recipezaar.com/307038 Broiled Milk (Leche Asada)- June 3, 2008 Dessert. Easy to do in the oven. A favorite with my family and friends. I don't know where it came from, but I know my mom used to do it a lot. -- posted by Chef Canohttp://www.recipezaar.com/306914 Mexican Spinach Cheese Dip- June 2, 2008 My mother created this recipe and I remember her bringing it to every potluck dinner we ever went to (the guests always asked for that). I carried on the tradition, and I have not once left a dinner where I was not asked for the recipe. It's delicious (and nearly fool-proof)! -- posted by zilyhttp://www.recipezaar.com/306733 |
