A Knitting Update- March 24, 2008 I thought I'd finally get some images up of the last of the knitting I did for 2007. They're all baby things that I knit for grand-daughter3 to tied her over the winter. This was knit using an old Aran pattern I had for a cabled jacket. I added a hood onto it to keep her warm. the yarn is some Noro Silk garden that I'd originally used on another project and didn't like. I'm all for recycling yarn when a project goes a bit awry. I love Sirdar Snuggly yarn for baby knits. It's very soft...http://bellis.blogon.com/archives/2008/03/a_knitting_upda.html I Quite Agree- March 21, 2008 A human being is a part of the whole, called by us "Universe," a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest -- a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the...http://bellis.blogon.com/archives/2008/03/i_quite_agree_5.html Home Again- March 18, 2008 Well that wasn't so bad. Himself is quite pleased he went now. There was no hanging around waiting to be called, the doctor we saw was really helpful and she listened to what he had to say. So often he's been to these annual check ups and the doctor hasn't really paid any attention to what was being said to himher. It's been very frustrating and left Himself wondering why he's bothered going. This time when he told the doctor about the leg spasms and the night sweats, she made the effort to...http://bellis.blogon.com/archives/2008/03/home_again.html Hospital Visit- March 18, 2008 Off to the hospital with Himself this morning. It's one of his big annual checkups where they test him to see if he can remain on the Copaxone protocol. He's dreading it quite honestly as the tests are so exhausting. More later.http://bellis.blogon.com/archives/2008/03/hospital_visit.html Don't Come Too Close!- March 16, 2008 I've got the lurgy. Feel rotten. Going to go and lie down some more. :( Update: well it didn't last long. After a very long nap (I got up at 8.00pm) I felt much better. I'm a firm believer in naps these days...I take so many of them!http://bellis.blogon.com/archives/2008/03/dont_come_too_c.html Your Eggscellency by Hotel Chocolat- March 15, 2008 So here's the review of the Easter egg by hotel Chocolat- It arrived beautifully boxed. As one of their signature ranges you'd expect something special and you certainly have the expectation of that when you see the packaging. And on opening the packaging you're met by what looks like sumptious chocolate. Two thick chocolate egg halves individually wrapped, each one containing 5 liqueur truffle chocolates. I asked the rest of the family to help me when it came to the tasting. And...http://bellis.blogon.com/archives/2008/03/your_eggscellen.html I've Got My Computer Back- March 14, 2008 Goodness, it does seem a long time since I've been able to sit at my own computer. As I've not been able to access a computer whenever I wanted to, I've filled my time with other things. Knitting (obviously), catching up with some of the DVDs we've bought and never watched, read a book (Terry Pratchett's Going Postal). Himself and I have also been away for a few days. We took our annual trip down to London. We went to The Appollo theatre to see Wicked The Musical, based on the book Wicked by.http://bellis.blogon.com/archives/2008/03/ive_got_my_comp.html Interesting- March 5, 2008 via Vixenpathhttp://bellis.blogon.com/archives/2008/03/interesting_1.html Back....Sort Of- March 4, 2008 Still no computer for me I'm afraid. I'm awaiting a power supply to arrive and that should be here within the next couple of weeks. It's felt a very long time to be without my own computer. I have had use of other computers in the house but I've missed the spontaneity of using my own; it's odd not being able to use the computer when I want or when I feel like. You soon get used to having the sole use of one. Himself has been very good though and has told me that I can have use of his in the...http://bellis.blogon.com/archives/2008/03/backsort_of.html |
