Recipezaar: Desserts recipesThe newest Recipezaar recipesin:DessertsFrom-Scratch Cherry Brownies- June 24, 2008 I didn't see any recipes for cherry brownies that don't use pie filling or box mix, so I came up with my own. The cherries make the brownies very moist and add subtle fruit flavor. I bet you could use other canned or cooked fruits in this (berries, peaches, pears) with good effect. The base brownie recipe comes from "The Wise Encyclopedia of Cookery" ca. 1949 and it's still a super recipe. -- posted by sprout 13http://www.recipezaar.com/310457 Bon Appetit Best Pie Crust- June 24, 2008 From Jul 07 Bon Appetit magazine. Simple and delicious muffins that are good for you! -- posted by chungry1http://www.recipezaar.com/310433 Honey Bars- June 24, 2008 Recipe is from Sunrise Beach is Still Cooking, Cooking from Texas Hills and Lakes compiled by the Ladies Auxiliary of Sunrise Beach Volunteer Fire Department and credited to Nancy Brown. My kids loved these easy bars! The young one calls them honey brownies. You can't taste the mayo in the icing, which is thin and sinks into the hot bars giving them a glazed appearance. -- posted by LonghornMamahttp://www.recipezaar.com/310420 Ultimate M & M Cookies- June 24, 2008 This is from an M&M's recipe booklet I picked up somewhere. This does not use peanut butter like a lot of other recipes on this site with M&M's. I hope you like them. -- posted by HokiesLadyhttp://www.recipezaar.com/310418 Raspberry Sherbet Sensation- June 24, 2008 I got this recipe off of kraftfoods.com when I was looking for a lower-carb recipe that satisfied my summer sweet tooth. My next experiment will be to try this with chocolate pudding! I have yet to try one of ATK's recipes that wasn't delicious and turned out great. Their instructions are great for beginner or seasoned cooks. Frozen peaches work much better than fresh -- posted by SweetSueAlhttp://www.recipezaar.com/310383 Roasted Orange Cakes- June 24, 2008 This is a recipe by Mary Sue Milliken which appeared in Gourmet magazine some years ago. What could be more fun that little raisin studded cakes baked inside hollowed out oranges. -- posted by Chef Regina V. She was a very southern lady who used this recipe since 1930 from Pillsbury Flour Co. I've eaten lots of oatmeal cookies, but never tasted one quite like this. I think it is yummy. I'm not sure how many cookies this makes, but my guess is 2 - 3 dozen, depending on the size spoon used to drop the batter. -- posted by vivviehttp://www.recipezaar.com/310377 |
