We have recieved a number of books (Thank YOU!) and I was a bit behind on keeping the lists in sync with what had been recieved. Soon I will have to take some time to do reviews of some of the books, but for now I have to say all of them have been inspirational in some way, and have eaarned a permanent spot on our over-crowded book shelves. Tammy : It was really nice looking and on sale for $4.99 a yard. Me : Wow! That is quite a sale! Obviously we are both very tired and up to our you know whats in fabrics. Of course it was delicious, Tammy smeared Ass-Kickin&8217; Mustard on it then breaded and fried it lightly. Just perfect with a tiny, but nice nip. I think next time it might be even better with Dave&8217;s Insanity Mustard instead. We gathered 25&8217; bamboo poles in the pouring rain. Not that the rain was part of the plan, but it worked out pretty good. We set out before the rain came down, and arrived at the bamboo field just as it started sprinkling. After driving over, Johann wouldn&8217;t hear of leaving without removing at least some of the bamboo for Mrs. L. So we sorted out another 10 or 12 of the already cut canes as the skies literally began pouring on us in big fat.http://heupel.com/family/2004/08/21/raining-bamboo/ Late Night Antics- August 7, 2004 Living in Mystic right on the estuary we have the opportunity to see many wild animals such as cranes, herons, osprey, cormorants and even occasional seals. One wild animal I see quite often though is a skunk that lives on the river bank by the Mystic Art Association. The annual fair was on with proceeds to benefit the Community Center. One of the items at the fair that caught Johann&8217;s eye was the restored canon from the Nimrod. The Nimrod was one of the British Navy warships that attacked Stonington from August 9th to the 11th in 1814. The canon that Stonington now has never actually fired a shot on Stonington. It started with breakfast watching Tool School (don&8217;t ask&8230;he wanted to see it after catching the commercial so we did).
