Boiled Peanuts (Bawld Pnuts) - May 28, 2008

Here's the best recipe for 'bawld' peanuts I have ever found y'all... got it from the Piggly Wiggly flyer LOL - seriously. They are the only ones I've found that actually taste like the roadside versions. A little bit of cayenne would make these Hawt Bawld Pnuts. Now when I say salt to taste... the original called for 14 to 12 box of salt - I just pour a whole lotta in there and they've always turned out. -- posted by Southern Fried Chica

Apple and Chipotle Turkey Burger - May 23, 2008

I saw this recipe on Oprah one day but i switched around a few ingredients to make it more affordable. I like to use Granny Smith apples and I don't really use measurements, so dabble with your own! These burgers taste best when grilled ( I use my Foreman) but they taste just as good when pan frying. If your in a hurry for a meal, you can skip the 2 hours in the fridge. Thats just used to insure your burgers will stay together while cooking. This is one of the BEST turkey burgers I've ever...

Amaretto's Best Friend - May 8, 2008

It sounds weird, but it's really good. I'm not a fan of beer, but I can't get enough of this. It's a great refreshing summer drink, and it can easily be adjusted to suit your tastes by changing the ratio of the ingredients. The man who introduced me to it called it a Creamsicle, so I guess someone thought it tasted like one, but to me it tastes more like an amaretto stone sour. -- posted by Reeces Pieces

Chilled Fruit and Champagne Soup - May 1, 2008

This is a very impressive course to add to a dinner party. It can be served after an entrée and before the main instead of a sorbet. It is a good idea to practise making this dish before serving it on a special occasion so you will know what fruit, bubbly, jugs and bowls create the best effect. It serves about 3-4 but that depends on the size of the bowls you use. -- posted by Mattlmorris
