Dr. Omed: Roadside Attractions and Okie ArcanaThe Holy Rolling Photoblog of Dr. Omed(Untitled)- June 4, 2006 SCENIC TULSA: ANOTHER DREAM HOUSE THE "FLINTSTONES" HOUSE, CHARLE PAGE BLVD., EAST OF GILCREASE RD. This house has been a local landmark for many years. I have no idea who built it, or why they choose this particular "style" for their dwelling place. It is still occupied, as you can see. The hill behind the home is perhaps the only bit of rising ground along the Arkansas River in Tulsa that is not composed of limestone andor sandstone andor shale laid down during the Carboniferous..http://blogs.salon.com/0002296/categories/roadsideAttractionsAndOkieArcana/2006/06/04.html... I'm not sure at all what the image above represents. You tell me. Stencils can be crude, but they can deliver a message. Repeat it again and again and again. No matter how many times they're painted over.http://blogs.salon.com/0002296/categories/roadsideAttractionsAndOkieArcana/2006/06/02.html... |
