Already the interfaces are developed to allow a cursor on a screen or a robotic arm to be controlled. But the capturing of human thought That would be a very tough cookie. Our thoughts are not localised to one part of the brain so collecting and assembling them to some coherent protocol would be very difficult. Like trying to decipher an encrypted signal out of static. Even harder would be sending a signal to thehttp://networking.ittoolbox.com/r/rss.asp?url=http://it.toolbox.com/blogs/extreme-ai/xai-9... Comment by Mark_India on XAI- September 8, 2006 Is this the same technology used by machines to control human beings in the movie Matrixhttp://networking.ittoolbox.com/r/rss.asp?url=http://it.toolbox.com/blogs/extreme-ai/xai-9... Comment by Ahamed Aslam on XAI- September 8, 2006 Hi, Even i had the same thoughts long time back - But i realized a lot of issues with the concept. The primary thing is the lack of filters. There is no screening to the thoughts which are supposed to be captured or sent to the device. Since the thought process is transparently transferred to the device it becomes very dangerous. I can not control the passing of data to the device. Anyway a possible solution would be a set of rule-based filter which will filter out "dangerous" thoughts.
