Indeed, a search on "PoliBlog" will return my site as the first item on the list. I prefer Lonely Planet to other guidebooks and the writing style would translate well to blogging. They don't have context sensitive advertising: when I read an article on Mexico I like to see a couple Mexico guide books recommended. They could probably fine tune it once they got readers.
