Yes, it&8217;s unfortunate that in many cases (though not all) they have scanned from printed reproductions and the enlarged versions resolve into process dots. Some fare better than others.

Beautifull posters indeed. It&8217;s only too bad they choose to use offset printed copies to scan instead of real zinc plate printed ones. The offset images get heavily dotted and unsharp. If you compare this to a zinc printed one you&8217;ll see what I mean. The difference is HUGE.

Thanks for this interesting post. Poster art often captures a moment in time and gives us a taste of the period when it was done. And yes, I have spent hours studying posters at various web sites.
