I gave up carbonated drings about 15 years ago - the stuff was killing my stomach - went cold turkey and had killer headaches for the first week - I haven't had a soda in 15 years - the economic benefit of this is that as my kids were growing up, we never drank soda either at home or when we went out to eat. Saved a ton of money. I gave up red meat (cow) in 1995 - more stomach prohttp://networking.ittoolbox.com/r/rss.asp?url=http://it.toolbox.com/blogs/matthewmoran/tec... Comment by DR1665 on Technology Professional, Musician, and Trainer - Part 2 of (plus contest)- September 17, 2008 No clue on the syndrome, sir, but I like the idea of cutting out the coke (soda). One of my biggest vices. My day starts with a solid 44 ounces of Mountain Dew (with a couple extra shots of caffeine for good measure). No doubt you'd disagree with that, but it will take a great deal of self-control to cut that out of the diet. Certainly worth a try, though. As you mentioned with the exercise in part one, better to do something than nothing at all, right Steps in the right direction.http://networking.ittoolbox.com/r/rss.asp?url=http://it.toolbox.com/blogs/matthewmoran/tec... Comment by AboutAmber on Technology Professional, Musician, and Trainer - Part 1 of- September 16, 2008 You're right Matthew, my metabolism tackled that donut and dispatched it no problem! It's the three Mountain Dews, bag of French Onion Sun Chips, bowl of Lucky Charms, double caramel breve, half pound bag of taffy, strawberry Nerds, two Chai teas with honey and heavy cream, Dr. Pepper, Chicken Caesar pita with double cheese double bacon, and leftover Meat Lovers pizza that may catch up with me later. Oh well, I'll have something light for dinner. !! Entry Link: a hhttp://networking.ittoolbox.com/r/rss.asp?url=http://it.toolbox.com/blogs/matthewmoran/tec... Comment by Matthew Moran on Technology Professional, Musician, and Trainer - Part 1 of- September 16, 2008 So wrong Amber. I had so much energy I had to go do productive work. Yes, I'll admit it...blogging is hardly productive. Something tells me your metabolism will handle the donut just fine. !! Comment by Ralph Wilson on Technology Professional, Musician, and Trainer - Part 1 of- September 16, 2008 Matt, Weights will "pump you UP!" but I find swimming to be more suited to my preferences of same strength, less bulk. However, as you so rightly pointed out, it matters not which exercise program is "The Best" if you won't follow that program; what matters is the best exercise program you will follow and, for me, that is swimming. What I really like about swimming is that it is zero impact exercise . . . as long as you remember where the end of the poohttp://networking.ittoolbox.com/r/rss.asp?url=http://it.toolbox.com/blogs/matthewmoran/tec... Comment by DR1665 on My personal site - theme updates and plug-ins- September 15, 2008 Looks very sharp, sir. I totally agree with you on Wordpress. Tweaking themes to fit your style (or mood), as well as just about anything else you feel like changing, is easily done from anywhere. I love it. That's a really slick theme you've got going on there. I particularly like the top-to-bottom fade on each post. Really makes them stand out. I might have to implement something like that on my own site, dr1665.com. Good find andhttp://networking.ittoolbox.com/r/rss.asp?url=http://it.toolbox.com/blogs/matthewmoran/my-... Comment by AboutAmber on Mobile Broadband - watch the contract...- September 10, 2008 Just FYI for the folks that do go the contract route (as I did, because I use the internet more outside of my home than I do in, so I don't have it hooked up at home at all), if Verizon changes the plan at all (faster speeds, cheaper price) you can take advantage without lengthening the contract. Also, the early termination fee goes down each month that you're on the plan. There are routers available so multiple laptops or PC's can use the service at home. It would seem the movement catches the eye, then stopping allows the viewer to read the advertisement. !!
