Shot From the HipRandom collection of thoughts and imagesGood pain- June 26, 2007 Played ball yesterday after a 6 months of knee rehab and today I lifted weights for the first time in almost a year. Not sure why, but I'm actually looking forward to being sore tomorrow. Go figure.http://blogs.sun.com/geohsia/entry/good_pain The Golden City- June 25, 2007 I'm not the type of person that has "favorite songs", but if I did, this would be one. Sang it this morning and have been singing it all day.The Golden Cityby Adrian Plass, Dave Clifton, Ian Blythe, Phil Baggaley Soon your trials will be over, Offered up by mercys hand; Let Him heal you where youre standing, A doorway to another land The sweetest welcome from the Father, Gathered up and carried home, We have come to this time of waiting, Come let us bow before Your...http://blogs.sun.com/geohsia/entry/the_golden_city Mt. St. Helens- June 16, 2007 2 or 3 weeks before my trip to Portland I had decided that I would go to Mt. St. Helens. It was more of a whim really. It was a short drive from Portland, so why not. I did a quick Google search and it seemed like good fun and good prep for Half Dome. To get ready I read the top 10 essentials and even called the trail rangers but pretty much just ignored all of their recommendations. I mean crampons and an ice axe in the middle of June I did get some gaiters, but...http://blogs.sun.com/geohsia/entry/mt_st_helens Joseph's world- June 15, 2007 This past weekend I got a view into Joseph's world up in Portland. It's a good thing one of my cameras is weather resistant. The weather should be nice on my drive down the latter half of next week though. Hopefully it won't get too muddy hiking up Mt. St. Helens, but I do have new gaiters...http://blogs.sun.com/geohsia/entry/travel_weather Distractions- June 4, 2007 What a busy weekend, one 10 mile hike, two church services and two photo assignments. May not sound like much, but each night I ended up eating dinner after 99:30 because the days were so busy. I'm glad I got a chance to shoot though. It helps me get my mind off things. I even feel less hungry when I'm shooting... well, sort of. More than the process of shooting though, being able to witness God at work in the ministries I was shooting for the day was incredibly...http://blogs.sun.com/geohsia/entry/distractions |
