Make: DC meeting tomorrow night- September 15, 2008 The next gathering of Make: DC is tomorrow night (Sept 16). We'll be meeting at Greater Goods again (at 8pm) and we'll be working on our Make: DC robot project. Our goal is to create the cheapest fully-programmable, Arduino-based robot development platform possible. You can see our progress so far, the six-dollar motor driver board, here. Even if you didn't buy a parts kit, please come and hang out, help others, etc. Make: DC website Read more Permalink Comments Read more articles...http://blog.makezine.com/archive/2008/09/make_dc_meeting_tomorrow.html?CMP=OTC-0D6B4898489... Chainsaw-cycle- September 15, 2008 The Dolmette motorcycle uses the power of 24 on-board chainsaw engines to create one heckuva promotional item - The heart of the combined power plant is the central drive belt casing of aluminium construction. As well as encasing the eleven belts used to couple up the individual engines, it also houses the exhaust ducts for the cooling air. Twelve engines are mounted in two rows of six on either side of the drive belt casing.
