Vivek, I would approach the transition as if I was doing a project audit. I would suggest that you sit in on all project meetings as soon as possible to get a feel for the status of the project. Your checklist should be those documents that you would have required if you were the project manager at the beginning of the project. I would request the following from the outgoing manager and meet with himher to review each document:Project Goals objectivesScope documentProject

Vivek, I am confused. Isn't the customer a stakeholder If the customer (stakeholder) is holding up the approval process than the customer needs to make their approval process more efficient. One approach is to establish a Service Level Agreement (SLA)at the BEGINNING of the project that states all change requests must be approved by the stakeholders within XX hours (48, 72, 96) of receipt of the change request. ..Hi Larry..yes i agree with you but at times i have experienced resistance from the customers when we insist on Change management process for minor (from customers's perspective) enhancements...because of the time consumed for getting the necessary approvals from the stake holders... !!Click here to go to this entry !!
