Comment by Rimian on Open Source Risk Assessment Guide- November 25, 2007 Yes it is wise to consider the risk of Closed versus Open Source Software.However some point here are not entirely correct:There are many companies that offer you Open Source Software with a Service Level Agreement. Redhat is a fine example. In fact, when you purchase a Red Hat product, it is the support and service which you are paying for not the software. Security and accountability are two different points.
