Counting finalised objects - October 11, 2005

Churn of finalisable object is not a good thing, for reasons I am sure you are familiar with. I am sure there is an off-the-shelf way of finding out how frequently your code finalises. However, all the Sun JVM seems to provide is the number of pending finalisable objects, with peek if you are lucky.
