Reports about Europe's environmentReports published by EEA (Theme: all, Audience: all, Sorted on: publish date)Corinair 90 - Comprehensive summary report- June 30, 1997 In 1985 it was decided by the European Council of Ministers1 to develop a work programme for co-ordination of the collection of information on the state of the environment: CORINE2. Within this work programme the European Commisions Environmental Directorate General (DG XI) initiated the compilation of the European Air Emission Inventory for the base year 1990 (CORINAIR90). The European Environment Agency (EEA) took over responsibility for CORINAIR in 1994 as part of the work program.http://reports.eea.europa.eu/topic_report_1996_21 Climate Change in the European Union- June 14, 1997 Climate Change in the European Union covers the trends, the state and the outlook of the environmental theme climate change in the European Union. It gives an overview of the environmental measures taken to date, analyses the main trends in society giving rise to pressure on the environment, analyses the climate change issue and the energy sector.http://reports.eea.europa.eu/GH-98-96-518-EN-C Air pollution in Europe 1997- June 5, 1997 This report assesses several environmental problems in which air pollution plays a major role. The main focus of the report is on pressures, state and impacts, but information is also provided on the main driving forces that influence the state of the environment. The report covers the following five environmental problems: climate change, acidification, eutrophication (atmospheric deposition), urban air quality, and tropospheric ozone.http://reports.eea.europa.eu/92-9167-059-6-sum Recommendations for Revised Data Systems for Air Emission Inventories- June 2, 1997 CORINAIR is a programme to establish an inventory of emissions of air pollutants in Europe. There are gaps and inconsistencies in CORINAIR90 and the process to deliver the final data took longer than expected. In a separate report, the results of a review of CORINAIR90 have been presented, including detailed proposals for improvements. In this report proposals are elaborated to provide detailed specifications and recommendations for a revised data system.http://reports.eea.europa.eu/92-9167-033-2 Public Access to Environmental Information- June 1, 1997 This report on public access to environmental information has come at a particularly timely moment, namely the beginnings of the review of Directive 90313EEC which deals with this very issue. It reflects the fact that since the ratification of the Maastricht Treaty, nationals of the Member States have had citizenship of the Union itself; although this confers at present very limited rights and duties it is the germ of a future in which the citizen can look to the Union as a real polity.http://reports.eea.europa.eu/92-9167-020-0 Groundwater Monitoring in Europe- June 1, 1997 This report provides an overview of the existing groundwater monitoring activities (quality and quantity) in 16 countries in the EEA area. The following topics are included: objectives of monitoring, name of monitoring programme, list of responsible organisations, spatial extent of network, determinands, sampling frequency, analytical methods, data storage and analysis and reporting procedures.http://reports.eea.europa.eu/92-9167-032-4 |
