I had high hopes for it, but it turned out unimpressively. Maybe just operator error (Prep time includes rising.) -- posted by Burgundy Damselhttp://www.recipezaar.com/299284 Apple Nut Ring-Pampered Chef Copycat- April 17, 2008 When I bought my stoneware deep dish baker, a recipe pamplet came with it. This delicious recipe was in there! -- posted by Sharon123http://www.recipezaar.com/298845 Food Processor Biscuits to Die For- April 16, 2008 This is from Shelda Green and the San Jose Mercury News Sept. 13, 2006. Green shared a few of her family secrets. First, she pats out the dough on a floured opened brown grocery bag to save on clean up time. Secondly, her family rolls the biscuits thinner, then stack the two circles before baking so that it is easier to add a pat of butter to the finished biscuits. This recipe only uses 3 ingredients which I usually have on hand. -- posted by cookiedoghttp://www.recipezaar.com/298587 Alabama Biscuits- April 15, 2008 This recipe comes from a very good friend of my aunt's in West Virginia. Her name was Mildred Reynolds and she was a phenomenal cook AND baker. I remember having these biscuits with some warmed canned peaches, which Mrs. Reynolds had also put up herself. I had made this recipe many years ago and the biscuits were so good my mother even noted (with a star) "delicious" next to the recipe. I often add spice to the mix that would contribute to the taste of the final sandwich such as a teaspoon of garlic or onion powder or Mrs Dash etc. If you don't have chia add another egg but they rise better and are better for you with the Chia. I got sick of all of my tasty, nutritious sesame seeds falling on my plate so now I toss them in. -- posted by SWalkerhttp://www.recipezaar.com/297325 Quick Chocolate Chip Sticky Buns- April 8, 2008 Sticky, Moist, and Delicious! -- posted by RecipeNuthttp://www.recipezaar.com/297108 No-Knead Cheese Rolls- April 7, 2008 A yeast recipe with a no-fail attitude! Great to serve with chili or soup. Change up the type of cheese(s) you use to suit the meal! I like to take "minis" to gatherings - they take less time to bake by 2 or 3 minutes so watch carefully! (Original recipe found in a Beta Sigma Phi sorority cookbook, Food In the Fast Lane.) Preparation time does not include rise time. Using regular yeast will increase rise time. Be sure to add it with the warm water and sugar. -- posted by...http://www.recipezaar.com/296911 Prize-Winning Roll Dough & Cinnamon Rolls- April 7, 2008 This is a recipe from my mother. We grew up with this recipe which was used for our rolls, cinnamon rolls, and tea-rings at Christmas time. The mashed potatoes are a huge key, so make sure not to leave them out. You can quickly cook some up and mash them, or use instant in a bind. -- posted by Ellen in Utahhttp://www.recipezaar.com/296749 |
