Nice and moist bread. Got from http:www.roatanonline.comcaribbean_recipes.htm. The recipe also calls for pecans and a limerum icing, but i omitted both of these. These are more like toastadas with a few extra fixins. Do not be scared of the eggs ontop, in fact leave them out if you want. But beleive me these are delicious as is! They are wonderful served alongside a nice salad! -- posted by Tiny_Toodleshttp://www.recipezaar.com/293379 Costa Rican White Rice- March 21, 2008 This is the way my suegra used to make rice every day in Costa Rica. -- posted by Chef 795665http://www.recipezaar.com/293178 Gallo Pinto (Costa Rican Rice and Beans)- March 19, 2008 This recipe was actually posted by TheMom51 in her reply to recipe 78747. I thought I'd post it as a searchable recipe. Her original comment was: Just thought I'd add my Costa Rican daughter-in-law's recipe. It uses the traditional Salsa Lizano (you can order it over the Internet) which is probably why Matoszinho didn't think this recipe was quite right Preparation time does not include time to cook the rice. If you need to cook your rice add an additional 15 minutes to the prep time. --...http://www.recipezaar.com/292846 Salvadorean Rice- March 19, 2008 This rice dish is served alongside beans with every evening meal in El Salvador. I actually prefer it over spanish rice now as it has more veggies and more flavor! -- posted by Tiny_Toodleshttp://www.recipezaar.com/292770 Salsa for Pupusas- March 19, 2008 This salsa is great served with Salvadorean pupusas as well as a salsa to eat with traditional meals such as Yucca and Enchiladas Salvadorenos (more like a tostada). -- posted by Tiny_Toodleshttp://www.recipezaar.com/292499 Hotel Riley Rum Cocktail- March 13, 2008 Another tropical rum delight! This one is sooo delicious! -- posted by sassafrasnanchttp://www.recipezaar.com/291782 Chimol (Salvadoran Radish Salsa)- March 13, 2008 A healthy, fresh and delicious salsa that utilizes the wonderful radish. This is a Salvadoran recipe that is traditionally served with carne asada, but it also goes great with fish, tofu or chicken. It even is wonderful as a dip for tortilla chips or veggies! :) -- posted by grumblebeehttp://www.recipezaar.com/291744 |
