iPhone in Canada - Pricing Plans - June 27, 2008

Rogers announced their iPhone package plans today. Two thumbs down. I will not be getting one until there is an unlimited data plan option. Shame on you Rogers for being stuck in 1997. The plans: $60 for 150 minutes with unlimited weekends and evenings. Sending of 75 text messages and only 400 MB of data per month. $75 for 300 minutes with unlimited weekends and evenings. Brad Sucks & Meatloaf - June 27, 2008

Brad Sucks just announced the release date of his next album Out of It. It hits the information superhighway on September 8th. Here is a strange bit of information for you. I associate Brad with meatloaf (the food, not the singer). We've had dinner a few times with Brad and for some reason I'm always eating meatloaf. Brad's music and the meatloaf at at the Mayflower Pub on Elgin street in Ottawa is highly recommended.

Even though we were out of season it was a fascinating tour and at the end we had as much coffee as we could drink - which turned out to be about four cups for me. The tour is quite popular and most hotels in the area can arrange it for you. The plantation is about a 5-10 minute drive from the main town...

Current Books - June 24, 2008

Fiction; "The Climb Up to Hell" by Jack Olsen. I'm a sucker for mountain disaster stories. This is one of the best...or worst depending on how you look at it. Non-fiction; "The Bottom Billion" by Paul Collier. Collier is a brilliant economist. More importantly he has the ability to explain brilliant economics in terms that I can understand.
