I think he's almost got it right as his one was great. We actually planned to make coleslaw, but the weather turned cold and we had to re-think dinner. This was great with roast chicken. The last time he made this, he used leek instead of onion. Feel free to vary the veg. -- posted by JustJanShttp://www.recipezaar.com/320378 Pear Breeze Martini- August 19, 2008 This is a recipe my friend Kathy had at a restaurant in Boulder called Pasta J's. She LOVED it and so I wanted to give her the ingredients for her birthday. I called the restaurant and they GAVE me the recipe!! I didn't love the drink as it called for equal parts of everything and I thoought the cranberry was too strong and the drink was too.... something! So DH suggested more apple juice less cranberry and here is what we ended up with. This version is REALLY good.... -- posted by SoozieQhttp://www.recipezaar.com/320377 Vito's Penne Pasta Salad- August 19, 2008 From the Happy Diabetic Chef cookbook. -- posted by Sue Lhttp://www.recipezaar.com/320374 Josh & Christa's Awesome Jambalaya, Good Job!- August 19, 2008 After flipping through some crock pot recipe books one evening we decided that, in the interest of being extra lazy, we would just start dumping things that we like into the old slow cooker. Amazingly this came out really tasty! -- posted by KeyLimePihttp://www.recipezaar.com/320375 Sausage Casserole With Red Wine- August 19, 2008 This recipe originally came from Delia Smith's Complete Cookery Course. It has a delicious, rich sauce that is very warming on a cold winter's day. The sauce is so yummy and tends to reduce quickly so I have increased the quantity. The original recipe includes sliced mushrooms which I omit - family preference! If you wish to include them you could add them approx 20 mins before the end of cooking time. This goes well with either mashed potatoes or noodles. -- posted by Scrappy Roohttp://www.recipezaar.com/320376 Apple "pizza" (Weight Watchers Points = 5)- August 19, 2008 This recipe is from the SeptemberOctober 2008 issue of Weight Watchers Magazine. It is the recipe makeover. NOTE: If your pizza pan doesn't have a nonstick surface, line it with foil and spray the foil with nonstick spray before covering it with the dough in step 3. -- posted by senseicherylhttp://www.recipezaar.com/320373 Cheese Crackers- August 19, 2008 I saw someone on the TV making this recipe but I didn't have the chance to write it down properly. This is what I was able to recreate and I must say: it turned out pretty good! -- posted byhttp://www.recipezaar.com/320372 Killer Kool-Aid- August 19, 2008 Another fruity drink. I personally don't like the strong tastes some drinks leave so this suits me just fine with being sweet. I do know you don't want to drink to many of these and stay sitting. They have been known to sneak up on ya and bit ya in the rear if you know what I mean. I also make these in a pitcher and serve in a party setting. -- posted by barefootmommawvhttp://www.recipezaar.com/320371 Sweet Potato Fries- August 19, 2008 I have long enjoyed making traditional fries from russet potatoes and invented this recipe as a vitamin A-loaded alternative. My 2-year old can't get enough of them! I choose not to peel them (more nutritious), but some people prefer the texture more when they are peeled... -- posted by Mrs. T!http://www.recipezaar.com/320370 Banana Colada Smoothie- August 19, 2008 I have not tried this recipe. I got this recipe from Obesity Help message board. It was posted by Dawn Sobers. -- posted by internetnuthttp://www.recipezaar.com/320369 |
